Representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church attend the first forum of young religious leaders in Astana

The first forum of young religious leaders entitled ‘Shaping a common future: the role of young leaders in strengthening interreligious dialogue’ took place in the capital of Kazakhstan Astana on 9th October. The event was organized by the Nursultan Nazarbayev Centre for the Development of Inter-confessional and Inter-civilizational Dialogue, along with the Secretariat of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions and the government of Kazakhstan.

Holy Synod deems it expedient that Working Group for Cooperation between the Russian Church and Turkey’s Directorate of Religious Affairs should continue its work

At its session held on 25th July, the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church expressed satisfaction over the participation of the Moscow Patriarchate’s delegation in the 4th meeting of the Working Group for Cooperation between the Russian Orthodox Church and the Directorate of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye. It was deemed expedient that the Working Group should continue its work.

On 23rd July at the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate there was a held a meeting between the chairman of the Department for External Church Relations the metropolitan of Volokolamsk Anthony with the representative of the Macedonian Orthodox Church (Ohrid archdiocese) and cleric of the diocese of Skopje hieromonk Athanasius (Arosky).
